TERRY
Terry Brewer has been showing people around Berlin in one capacity or another for over 20 years. He’s famous for going beyond all expectations of what the average walking tours offer. During a four-hour tour with Terry, you'll experience all that can be seen in Berlin’s historic centre - Unter den Linden (the famous boulevard), Museum Island, Frederick’s Forum with the Opera House, the University, the Royal Library, St. Hedwig's Catholic Cathedral, all done to the orders of Frederick the Great. The Brandenburg Gate which is the symbol of Berlin and Germany, the Reichstag parliament building, now home to democratic Germany’s lower house but famous for being in one way or another the starting point of WWI, WWII and the Cold War. Checkpoint Charlie, remains of the Wall, astounding new Potsdamer Platz and a surprise or two along the way. |

BARNABY
It all started with a coincidence. Three separate friends of his happened to be living here during the summer of 2001. The ideal time, he thought, to visit the city. Within hours of arriving, he was already thinking about emigrating. "The beautiful women ride around on bikes and the bars never shut," he noted at the time, accurately. "It doesn't have to get any more complicated than that." Barnaby and Berlin. Love at first sight. A self-proclaimed expert on such varying topics as inter-war European history, British pop music, the writings of Noam Chomsky, chess, football and - of course - Berlin, Barnaby confesses that tour-guiding is his ideal job "until I become a pop star, or the city authorities ban girls on bikes." And, at 6 foot 8, both him and his tours really can't be missed. |

PRESTON
A former Harvard professor and international fox hunting champion, Preston is renowned amongst certain Berlin crowds in the know for his ability to make rainbow coloured umbrellas seem like perfectly acceptable daily apparel. Ol' Mr Meyer has been part of the Brewer's collective since the dawn of time, infact we're quite convinced that Stanley Kubrick's legendary monkey scene in 2001 Space Odyssee was based around the legend of Preston's Berlin arrival. Contary to popular belief Preston does not believe that a lapdance is better when the stripper is crying.. Favourite saying: "How do you let someone know if your hotcakes are selling well?" |

ROBIN
Robin was born in Bermuda to English parents but grew up in Seattle, USA. After leaving a career in music production behind to follow his dreams in Europe, he ended up in Berlin in the winter of 2001. Finding the city to be the most action packed he'd seen, both present day and historically, he decided to stay put and let the city move around him. A Brewers tour guide since March 2005, Robin is well versed in the 800 years of Berlin's history, but has a special passion for the History of East Berlin, the Cold War and the idiosyncrasies of the socialist and Stalinist developments of 20th century Europe. Robin is currently working on a degree in modern European history at the Open University, and still rockin' the free world in his spare time. |

SYLVIA
Sylvia hails from the land of maple syrup, poutine and hockey. She came to Berlin two years ago armed with a BA in History an MA in Jewish Studies from McGill University in Montreal, and 10 years guiding experience in Canada, the US and on France's First World War battlefields. When asked why she moved to Berlin, she usually says "because I want to help people understand 20th-century German history, especially the Nazi bit" but we all know it's because of the great beer, the music and the good-looking people... Favourite restaurants: Sophieneck (try the "Schnitzel Jägerart"), Monsieur Vuong, Dada Falafel and Spätzle Express |
